Spun with a traditional 4-strand sock yarn construction, DROPS Nord is made from a combination of 45% superfine alpaca (for softness), 25% wool (to be warm and maintain shape) and 30% polyamide (for strength and durability).
Easy to knit/crochet, creating clear stitches, and ideal for warm everyday items such as pullovers, socks, hats and gloves, DROPS Nord is part of Yarn Group A and is particularly suitable for patterns designed for DROPS Alpaca, Baby Merino, Fabel and Flora yarns.
This yarn is Oeko-Tex® certified (certificate number 23.HPE.36896), Standard 100, Class II by Hohenstein Institute. This means it has been tested and is completely free of harmful substances and is considered safe for both humans and the environment. Class II means the yarn is suitable for direct contact with skin over large areas of fabric, such as sweaters, shirts, mattresses, etc.
