As hard-wearing as only a sock yarn can be, DROPS Fabel is a 4-strand superwash treated yarn, which means it is easy to care for and can be machine washed. Compared to normal sock yarns, DROPS Fabel is spun from a softer wool quality, which makes it a fantastic year-round yarn, perfect for many more projects than just socks – try using it for children's clothing!
Both the variegated and solid colours of DROPS Fabel are produced using a method called "fantasy dyeing" which differs from other methods in that each dye lot has small variations in both the print and the nuances. This is not a defect but simply one of the characteristics of this yarn.
The samples of the different colours shown below were knitted in a small stitch project, such as socks, so there may be differences/variations in colour nuances and prints in projects with a different width.
This yarn is Oeko-Tex® certified (certificate number 25.3.0110), Standard 100, Class I by INNOVATEXT TEXTILE ENGINEERING AND TESTING, HUNGARY. This means it has been tested and is completely free of harmful substances and is considered safe for both humans and the environment. Class I is the highest level of certification and means the yarn is suitable for baby items (ages 0-3 years).
