An exciting "blown yarn" made from soft baby alpaca and cosy merino wool - this quality has a unique construction, where instead of being spun, the fibres of baby alpaca and merino wool are "blown" with air into a tube. This makes garments made with this yarn about 30-35% lighter than conventionally spun yarns of the same thickness.
DROPS Air is a light and airy yarn with a magnificent feel against the skin, which makes it perfect for accessories, with textured and cabled stitches. Garments made with DROPS Air are completely hypoallergenic, meaning anyone can wear them!
This yarn is Oeko-Tex® certified (certificate number 22.HPE.07484), Standard 100, Class II by Hohenstein Institute. This means it has been tested and is completely free from harmful substances and is considered safe for both humans and ecologically. Class II means the yarn is suitable for direct contact with the skin over large areas of fabric, such as blouses, shirts, mattresses, etc.
