DROPS Cotton Merino is a combination of extra fine merino and long cotton fibres. We chose not to card the merino and cotton together, which enhances the properties of both fibres in a better way, and, at the same time, allows for more vibrant colours and textures. With a superwash treatment, it is very soft against the skin, making it especially suitable for children's and baby clothes.
Composed of many plies spun together, which gives the yarn its round twist and elasticity, it is especially suitable for textured stitches. This special twist makes it even more important to care for your garment in the exact way - always prefer to choose a tighter tension than a looser one compared to the tension indicated for the swatch. Do not wash your garments with water that is too hot, never soak them, and always dry them flat.
This yarn is certified by Oeko-Tex® (certificate number 09.HBG.68250), Standard 100, Class I by Hohenstein Institute. This means it has been tested and is completely free of hazardous substances and is considered safe for both humans and the environment. Class I is the highest level of certification and means that the yarn is suitable for baby items (ages 0-3 years).
