Made from 100% extra-fine merino wool fibers, DROPS Merino Extra Fine yarn is a warm and super-soft wool, therefore very gentle against the skin, making it ideal for baby and children's garments. Spun from multiple fine strands, DROPS Merino Extra Fine produces very regular stitches and is ideal for textured stitches such as twisted and seed stitch. Garments made with this yarn are very comfortable and have great elasticity and excellent feel. It is this special twist that makes it very important to get the correct tension in your project, so opt for a tighter tension rather than a looser one.

DROPS Merino Extra Fine has a superwash treatment, meaning it is machine washable, which is suitable for everyday use; however, when washing your garments, you should take extra care and follow the washing instructions. This yarn is spun from fibers sourced from animals raised outdoors in South America and not subjected to mulesing, and it holds the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification.

This yarn is certified by Oeko-Tex® (certificate number 25.3.0110), Standard 100, Class I by INNOVATEXT TEXTILE ENGINEERING AND TESTING, HUNGARY. This means it has been tested and is completely free of hazardous substances and is considered safe for both humans and the environment. Class I is the highest level of certification and means the yarn is suitable for baby items (ages 0-3 years).
