Spun from multiple thin strands of 100% extra fine merino wool, which gives it elasticity, the main characteristics of DROPS Big Merino are its softness, volume, elasticity and even the final result in the swatch, which makes it ideal for knitting textured stitches such as cables.
It is this special construction that makes it very important to get the correct tension for your project. Therefore, use a tighter tension, if applicable, rather than a looser tension. DROPS Big Merino also has a superwash treatment, and can therefore be machine washed and is ideal for everyday use, but when washing your garments, you should take special care and follow the washing instructions.
DROPS Big Merino is spun from 100% merino wool from animals raised outdoors, mulesing-free, in South America and is Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified.
This yarn is Oeko-Tex® certified (certificate number 25.3.0110), Standard 100, Class I by INNOVATEXT TEXTILE ENGINEERING AND TESTING, HUNGARY. This means that it has been tested and is completely free of harmful substances and is considered safe for both humans and the environment. Class I is the highest level of certification and means that the yarn is suitable for baby articles (ages 0-3 years).
