DROPS Daisy is a soft, untreated superwash yarn spun from 100% extra fine merino wool. The fibers used in this yarn are untreated, meaning they are simply washed without any chemical treatments before being dyed. This process enhances the wool's natural qualities, allowing the fibers to breathe better, thus improving the shape and texture of the garment.

Made with four strands spun together for extra stretch, DROPS Daisy produces well-defined stitches and is especially suitable for rice stitches, cables, and textured patterns. Its knitting tension matches that of patterns created with DROPS Karisma, DROPS Lima, DROPS Cotton Merino, and DROPS Merino Extra Fine (Yarn Group B).
The special spinning of this yarn also makes it very important to treat items knitted with it properly: make sure you get the knitting tension right – always opt for a tighter tension rather than a looser one, and follow the washing instructions.

The special spinning method of these fine, delicate fibers gives the garment a somewhat sensitive surface, making this yarn more suited to fine garments than sports shirts. Proper care is also crucial: always ensure the correct knitting tension—or opt for a tighter, rather than looser, and follow the washing instructions.

As with all our other merino yarns, this DROPS Daisy merino wool comes from animals raised outdoors in South America and not subjected to mulesing shearing.

This yarn is Oeko-Tex® certified (certificate number 23.HPE.36896), Standard 100, Class II by the Hohenstein Institute. This means it has been tested and is completely free of hazardous substances and is considered safe for both humans and the environment. Class II means the yarn is suitable for direct contact with the skin in large fabrics, such as blouses, shirts, mattresses, etc.
