DROPS Nepal is a thick, luxurious yarn spun from 35% superfine alpaca and 65% wool, a combination that enhances the softness of the alpaca while the wool helps the garments hold their shape. Both fibers are untreated, meaning the wool has only been washed and has not undergone any chemical processes before being dyed. This enhances the fibers' natural properties while also improving their shape and texture.
Spun from three strands that give a sensational, rustic definition to the stitches. DROPS Nepal is easy to knit or crochet and is also ideal for felting. Felted pieces have a smooth, even surface.
DROPS Nepal comes in mixed colours, which means the colours are carded together before the yarn is spun, giving it a mixed or blended effect.
This yarn is Oeko-Tex® certified (certificate number 23.HPE.36896), Standard 100, Class II by the Hohenstein Institute. This means it has been tested and is completely free of hazardous substances and is considered safe for both humans and the environment. Class II means the yarn is suitable for direct contact with the skin in large fabrics, such as blouses, shirts, mattresses, etc.
